Rock Werchter 2015

Hiya :)

Summer means no school, no school means fun and free time and that means...
festivals!

This summer I went to my first festival ever and I went straight for the four days at Rock Werchter. And it was amazing!
Living close to Werchter I slept at home so I didn't have the camping experience
but boy was the festival good!

Gavin James - the barn

Although a lot of people cancelled, I think 6 head liners in total, that really sucked.
But despite that, my friends and I had a really good time and are surely coming back next year,
even if we wouldn't like that many artists.

Balthazar - main stage

One of the best moments was the last night after the fireworks. We went to the person my friends stayed with and ate Croque monsieurs, we had so much fun at that moment.

The festival itself, the music was great but sometimes good artist overlapped each other and that was bummer. Because you have the Main Stage, The Barn and Klub C, there was also a Jupiler DJ place. But you can't have everything, because the toilets where clean ( and from porcelain), the food was good and it didn't make me sick.
I also had some fun tricking and amaze the security.

For people who don't know, you can bring bottles to the festival.
But only one per person and without the cap.
Just hide the cap, seal it with see through foil and an elastic.
When you're in just get the plastic of and screw on the cap again.

The Script - main stage
Most of the performances I saw were artists that I liked,
the advantage of going with people with the same taste in music.

My favourites were: The Script, Mumford And Sons, Muse, The prodigy and Royal Blood
I also liked : Gavin James, , Rise Against, Florence + the Machine and Selah Sue

I also discovered some artists I didn't knew but liked their music and performance.

I know summer is almost over now, it is upsetting me too
but I look forward to next summer
because there are a lot more festivals I want to go to!

Thanks for reading!

Meeting Ish Ait Hamou & books

Hiya :)

So recently Ish Ait Hamou has done a book signing tour. Ish is known from the TV-show So You Think You Can Dance, where he is a jury member, he's a well known hip hop choreographer  and he has worked for Adidas in Germany. He's a polite, kind man and looks even more sympathetic than on TV. After signing the books I bought, he was also so kind to take a picture with me.

His first book was published in 2014 and is called  'Hard Hart(hard heart) and when I started the book I found it a bit weird. But when I kept reading I came to the point I couldn't put the book away. I've read it on the train, the bus, in the car, at lunch break or when I was waiting for someone.

But Ish has a different style of writing than I'm used to and that was, I think, one of the reasons I liked reading the book.

Now the first book is finished, I look forward to read the second book: CécileThe stories don't follow on each other but even if you read the synopsis you can see a sort of pattern in the books.
